About Us
Four J's Ranch, LLC is family-owned and operated right here in Smoaks, SC. We are just 0.2 mile off of SC 61 (August Hwy) and 6.5 miles from I-95 Exit 68. Nearby areas include Walterboro and St. George (25 minutes), Orangeburg (35 minutes), Summerville (one hour), and Charleston (1.5 hours).
Angus-Longhorn cattle production is currently our main focus. Breeding programs often cross breeds for the benefit of hybrid vigor, or the tendency of crossbred offspring to exhibit qualities superior to those of their parents. We favor the crossing of American Angus and Texas Longhorn cattle to yield a herd with the calving ease and great meat marbling of Angus and the hardiness and high tolerance to disease of Longhorns.
